The Festool 494677 small hole router baseplate features a smaller 36mm (1-3/8”) bit opening for greater support next to the bit when edge profiling. It’s especially useful when working around outside corners, where it’s possible for the router to tip or catch if the bit opening is too large. Great low-friction sliding properties.
