Installing quadrant hinges requires that you not only rout out the mortise for the hinge plate itself, but also a deeper mortise that accepts the lid stay. This router bit provides the extra length needed to reach the bottom of the mortise. This means there is no drilling or chiseling required, resulting in a faster, more precise installation.

NOTE: Multiple passes should be used to rout out the mortise.
