This Timber Jack lifts heavy logs up off of the ground and holds them there so you can cut them into shorter lengths without getting your chainsaw in the dirt. To lift the log, engage the hooks and lower the wooden handle until it rests securely against the ground. From there you can cut off shorter lengths as needed. The weight of the cut-off logs will naturally open the cut and help prevent the chain from binding. The Timber Jack may also be used without the lower jack portion for rolling logs from place to place.
